What we mean by art without borders

A starting point for Artination: why a curated place for independent makers should be global from the first day.

Independent creative work is everywhere, but it is rarely easy to find from somewhere else. A ceramicist's best audience might live on another continent. A print studio's next collaborator might be a city away and never hear of them.

Artination starts from a simple idea: put good work, and the story behind it, in one considered place, and let people follow it back to the person who made it.

Curated, not crowded

We choose who is featured. That keeps the platform focused and lets each creator be presented properly, with room for their story rather than a thumbnail in an endless grid.

Stories first

Knowing where something was made, by whom and why changes how we see it. Every creator page is written to carry that context.

“Art without borders. Stories worth discovering.”
